I have been baking our bread for many years and have often been asked to add 2 tons of butter and then another 2 tons of sugar. Measuring sugar and then butter in a 2T measuring scoop is so convenient that it's actually faster and seems more accurate. It's the same with honey, only then I do the reverse process and measure out the oil first so that the honey flows smoothly out of the spoon. Other odd units are also useful - 1 1/2 teaspoons. Many recipes call for that. They are almost TOO heavy they are so well made but I appreciate the quality of construction and know they will be something I can convey and they will be there for a long time or until lost depending , whichever comes first!
