Review on Avolusion HDDGear Pro 3TB USB 3.0 External Gaming Hard Drive - 7200RPM 64MB Cache, Designed for PS4 Pro, PS4 Slim, and PS4 Original - 2 Year Warranty by Dwight Tim

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Great storage, usually quiet, always incredibly bright (for or against)

Me: Bought for PS4 storage, tired of constantly shuffling my games with the tiny PS4 internal storage Pros: No need to format, like 3TB plug and play, PS4 started the device right away, no noticeable read/write slowdown. Cons: It was noisy the first time I used it, but not since. con for you, but it's light blue and blinking when reading/writing. I don't like RGB and have a dark room so it's annoying. You might like it, but be aware. The product is 3TB as advertised, which is basically enough to release any major game in any given year, as well as some movies. It came with a short USB cable, so you might have issues with the length of the cable (not that I had any issues with the length of the cable, of course, ladies). I made sure I followed the instructions and didn't just randomly plug it in. I doubt this could be an issue, but it means I turned the device on, connected it to the PS4, and then turned the PS4 on. The PS4 immediately recognized the device and started downloading and updating the device and it is clearly listed as 'external'. Storage" on the PS4 interface. Works like a dream and I haven't noticed any noticeable change in downloads/installs. It's probably faster than my PS4 that was on PS4 launch day. Okay, here's the part I got from the designers and creators of electronic peripherals. Please if you want to do flashy RGB shit, give adults the ability to turn it off. I like this thing, but Cyclops' blue death ray comes out of it. Games and movies will often played in the dark so why do peripheral designers make bright flashy things? I don't understand. That's the only real flaw in the design but I had to glue it to the front because it's always bright and always blue. Another thing, and that's not really a problem and seems to have gone is that it used to be noisy the first time i used it i loaded a couple of games on the device and it went a scratchy it hard drive recording noise, almost like an old school scanner printer, the "thinking" sound of the old machine. It hasn't since, and it only started when I downloaded.
