Cracked Lids: Disposable Drinkware

The lids on every mug I've used have cracked. I had the same problem with dixie cup lids. I don't know if the heat loosens the lids enough to crack. But they fit the cups perfectly but break within minutes. The heat from my coffee travels right through the cup, making it too hot to comfortably handle for more than a few seconds at a time.
