Zippo windproof! for household goods

Just used it today - went to the cemetery to visit my parents and as we are Chinese we burn a lot of "offerings". That is, we give our deceased loved ones money and material things for the afterlife by burning paper images of them anyway. Anyway, I had a very small butane torch and it was a hassle to refill and temperamental, but would go out in windy weather. Day - have also tried kitchen butane lighters and regular Bic type butane lighters but they would go out at the slightest breeze. So I bought a Zippo "windproof" lighter for those occasions - and it worked. it wasn't gale force winds, but it was windy enough that i had problems with the various butane devices mentioned above. I refilled my new Zippo the night before and it does what it says on the tin - lit incense sticks - it stayed light even when the wind was blowing in different directions - it worked for a good 3-4 minutes with no problems. lit the candles. And it's made in the USA. The wife also agrees - so happy wife, happy life. I do not smoke. but when I burn offerings I use Zippo.

Pros
  • all-metal design; Windproof design works almost anywhere
