First try: I have to say that this column has everything I was looking for. USB-only power/audio connection (only uses one cable, not two or three), built-in volume control, great output and audio quality, small overall size - at least for features and audio output - and cool LED lighting as a bonus. Looks decent for the price. I just received it a few days ago. Unfortunately, volume does not work in any form on this device. It's either muted or twisted all the way. The volume slider moves but does not change the volume. Adjusting the volume on the computer does not affect the volume. It's either off or so loud you can't stand it. I've been looking for another speaker with the same features, but the only ones around are at least 3 or 4 inches larger, or lack one of the other features I'm hoping to find. Revain Support sends another squad. I will update this review when I receive a replacement. UPDATE, second try: Got a replacement speaker today. Arrived two days later. Plugged in and working right out of the box. I wish I had spent that much time trying to figure out what I did wrong with the first one. Obviously one is wrong. So, great product, features and functionality. Excellent customer service. Only 4 stars because the quality can be good, but this is a $20 speaker. For the price, that's great. It says 2 years warranty on the box, so that's even better. If he dies early I'll see what the guarantee entails.
