Bought because of good experience with the previous model (CS6229-4)

Bought because of good experience with the previous model (CS6229-4). I'm disappointed that one of the older model's very useful features seems to have disappeared - the ability to selectively delete old messages. In the new model, you have to delete all old messages or nothing. In the old model, if there was one that might have included a phone number, you could delete the others but keep those. I can't make it - it's all or nothing. I miss this function. Until recently, I was surprised that during a two-handset call on our end, if you turn off one of the handsets, it will disconnect. So if you ask your wife to listen to something one of the children has to say to her, she cannot hang up the phone without ending the conversation. That's really bad! When you dial a number, you get a double beep for each digit. (6 beeps, 5 beeps, etc.) I like getting beeps when dialing a number to confirm each hit went through, but the double beep is unnecessary and distracting. There doesn't seem to be a way to change this. So far the phones have otherwise been generally satisfactory, but I wouldn't recommend them again. The rest of the new is quite satisfactory.
