I think this complete set would definitely be good for new Pi users. Yes, you could probably save a few bucks by assembling it yourself, but it works, and it works pretty well. There have been some complaints about the case and the difficulties involved. They give you a link to a video on how to assemble the case. Looks! The case is actually in 3 parts and the Pi itself is on the bottom while the rest of the parts are added on top. Do not insert the SD card until it is in the case. The same goes for heatsinks - do not install them until the case is assembled. Speaking of the heatsink, one of the cutouts in the case doesn't quite line up with the chip that the heatsink is attached to. This is by no means a deal breaker and the heatsink covers 80% of the smaller chip so I'm pretty sure it's ok. But that's why you shouldn't attach heatsinks until after the case is assembled, otherwise you might not get everything together. It would be nice if you could see the activity LEDs when the case is closed, but I can see how difficult that would be. I've played around with the Pi a bit, the Pi-Hole ad blocker is a great tool and the retro gaming console is fun too. There's so much more you can do with this little thing. I'm excited to explore and see what else I can do with it. I was happy to see that this is basically a Linux device, so you can certainly run a lot of programs and scripts with it. I would love to learn how to use python and this can do it.
