Fits right - probably won't fall out but I installed the pen anyway. Rubber is not plastic. Should serve. Oldtimers Dz - I left my bumper plug on top of the bumper tube and that's all she wrote. I read the comments - many criticize the tight fit in the 4" bumper tube. But for myself I found the fit to be snug but easily manageable. They arrived a day late but still on time for me to get my RV back for storage. Insert the pen. This connector will NOT fall out. Point. Not sure why there is a 1" square hole in the center of the plug, but it makes removal easier. 2 plugs for $8+. I would buy them again.
