It was very easy to install. I mounted one transmitter on the inside of the door frame on the tailgate and the other directly on the outside of the tailgate. This doorbell doesn't take long to ring. I thought it would be too difficult for my pup to work with his nose but the bell is sensitive to light touches. It doesn't require a hard press or click. It also solves problems we had with other dogs barking or scratching. Our older dog is well trained to bark but we can't always hear him upstairs. I tested the system and not only can we hear it from anywhere in our two story house (and it wasn't even at maximum volume!), but you can turn on the ringer from anywhere! It saves our door from being torn apart, either by a dog scratching or by the bells hanging and bouncing on your door.
