Assuming I received the same part as everyone who submitted a review. There seemed to be some confusion regarding the thermostat; does the standard fit or do you need the recommended Mr. Gasket. Well, in my case, the standard thermostat fits perfectly in the case. I'm sure Mr. Gasket would be happy to sell you a new one and you should probably replace the old one unless it works; but it is "not" a requirement that you buy it from Mr Gaskets for this water spout. I hope this was helpful as it was the first stumbling block for me. I want to be roadworthy with factory parts.
