Works out of the box on Windows 10!

Works out of the box with Windows 10! I didn't have to download drivers from Startech or use the driver minidisk that came with it. For me it was completely plug and play. I literally took it out of the box and plugged it in, Windows 10 installed its driver and I was up and running in seconds. I have a Verizon Fios 50/50 and ran speedtest.net and got 56/68 with this little adapter. Some background. I have a Samsung laptop with a broken built-in WiFi adapter. I went into the BIOS, disabled the built-in Wi-Fi adapter, and plugged in the StarTech USB adapter instead. The speed I am currently getting is almost twice the speed the built in adapter can provide. I believe my built in adapter was just a G standard compared to this new N version at StarTech. Not sure if this is related or not, but I'm getting the maximum throughput from this little dongle. My laptop only has USB 2.0, which is fast enough for this device. If you have a newer device with USB 3.0, consider an AC version of that device if your built-in Wi-Fi isn't already at that speed. I am totally impressed with the ease of installation and speed of this little adapter. If you upgraded to Windows 10 it should work straight away but I can't verify this as I did a clean install of Windows 10 on a new Samsung EVO SSD that I installed on the same laptop a week ago. Your result can be huge, but if it doesn't come out of the box like mine did, simply install the drivers from StarTech.com under the Support tab for that device and you'll be fine.
