Works but much more rigid than the button removed. I doubt my kids can activate it, but a good arm workout for adults! It might loosen a bit with use. Update (02/15/21): became completely unusable. Try as I might, I couldn't flip the switch and the trunk still wouldn't open. I removed and disassembled the switch. I had to bend a couple of metal fingers to make better contact when pushing down, and I also had to reassemble the tape because it was still too stiff when I snapped the case all the way into place. It actually works much better now, but we'll see how long it lasts. End users don't have to go through so many difficulties to get a new product up and running.
