Generally a large bag for crochet/knitting yarn and supplies

Bought this bag as a gift for my granddaughter. The bag feels solid, it's quite sturdy but won't stand on its own unless you put a few things in the bag. I ordered some yarn and a pattern along with an ergonomic crochet kit and some basic crochet supplies. I have a medium sized bag which is smaller than I expected so I expected the same but this bag is HUGE! Super cheap yarn in a bag with space for a project that has started, such as B. a quilt or a few small projects. The bag feels sturdy and durable which is good for a teenager. I wanted a bag with a lid so the pup wouldn't get caught in the twine. The bag must be dropped. Not sure about the sheer "under" top, but the grommets help separate the yarn and I think they will also prevent the pup from opening and accessing the bag. I love my Luxja bag so I knew the quality would be good. The shoulder strap is handy for carrying the bag to the main level at home or taking it home for assistance and I love that the strap can be detached and inserted into one of the large bags. The outside pockets are large but open (one has a small velcro closure in the middle (about 2.5cm in size). On the outside there are two zipped compartments, one with elastic for hooks (see cons) and one for knitting needles; this one has also a zippered pocket inside for other accessories CONS: The elastic for the ergonomic hooks is too tight which surprised me as the elastic on my medium sized bag allows me to insert and remove the ergonomic hooks without any effort. With this bag I had to even the smallest ergonomic grip hooks are inserted into the elastic and I could only insert the hooks into the elastic from below and it took some effort and it took a long time, not sure how my teenager will be able to pull them far enough in and out to stretch the elastic a little (patience isn't their strong suit), so hope the hooks stay together. The Gar dividers are quite small (in width). I think full strands should have been placed in an open area intended for the project. There are 4 narrow yarn compartments that are only suitable for smaller skeins or partial skeins. I could find room for supplies, but the seasoned knitter needs more (or better designed) pockets to hold her most commonly used supplies (not expecting one pocket to hold everything).

Pros
  • Organization, storage and transportation
Cons
  • Has been damaged
