I haven't scaled my coffee maker in months so this was a tough question. It barely produced a tiny jet of hot water, so I knew it was really flaky. Although this product had some negative reviews, most of the reviews said it worked, which is why I bought it. I used BOTH two pack vials. I followed the instructions exactly, but didn't notice any real change in scale. I then tried using pure, undiluted white vinegar and the limescale dissolved. My espresso machine is working again. Maybe if your coffee maker isn't too flaky the thing will actually work, but for my money I'll be using straight dollar store vinegar going forward.
