This adapter works with my LG 32UD59 4k 32" monitor and 2017 Macbook Pro. Only 4 stars because I have to move the USB-C connector on my Mac to different ports until the monitor is recognized. One thing that was very confusing was changing the resolution to the best possible value on the monitor, you need to go to your Mac and select System Preferences > Display > Collect Displays and then move your cursor to the LG Monitor window that opens and press the Option key on your mac hold while pressing resolution, then all 4k resolutions will appear.
