They are so sharp and cut so clean that it's nice to have new scissors just for eating. I like the fact that it has a lid. So when I throw it in the drawer I know it will stay clean when I'm not using it. My daughter loves to cook mini pizzas in the microwave and when she takes them out they don't separate very well so she likes to cut them into pieces with scissors. It's a lot easier than a rolling pizza cutter. I love them for chicken. Always cut out that we have a little spot on the chicken breast. Also, it's very handy for opening foods you know you're about to cook.
