I have just started collecting knives and very quickly realized that for my collection to be enjoyable, every blade must be really sharp! After many hours of research (okay, watching YouTube videos and reading various blogs etc) it became clear that the final step in sharpening ANY knife should be to apply a thin coat of the paste to a thin leather belt. (It's also come in handy for daily sharpening!) The "Brown Hutzulen Leather Belt with Compound" meets many requirements: It's inexpensive but of high quality, it's RIGHT to use right out of the box the first time, and it's easy to use *BONUS* It's made in the USA in a small company, the backbone of this great nation. I am absolutely thrilled with my purchase and would highly recommend Hutsul slings to anyone who needs them!
