Sand and what looks like sawdust (I don't want to think about where they originate from) are abundant in our water supply. I used to use a jug, but the cassette got clogged up very fast, and I found myself having to replace it every four to six weeks even though I live alone. After 4 months, the jet of this filter's propylene cartridge began to dramatically diminish. There have been no reported problems with the water quality or the presence of any foreign items at the discharge. Eventually, I want to put in a primary filter and swap out the propylene cartridge in Kristall for a K3 one.
