Bought this to bring some light into my computer work area at night. It has three levels of brightness, which only really matter if your room is very dark. (If your room has moderate ambient lighting, you may not get much benefit from this light. It depends on your settings.) The light is battery operated, so it looks nice and clean. The battery seems to last a long time. I usually set it to low settings and use it for several nights in a row without noticing any degradation in brightness. It charges with a mini USB cable. You must provide a power source and/or power adapter for the USB cable. No AC to USB adapter is included. Just a USB-A to mini-USB cable. For most this isn't a problem, but then you tend to install the light source where there isn't a USB power source within 3 feet. So it would be a good idea to include a power adapter. I like the magnetic stand that this light uses. I installed it under the top shelf of my desk so it sits right above my keyboard. I can turn it away from me so it doesn't shine directly in my eyes and the light is just enough to illuminate my workspace in the dark. There is an adhesive pad on the bottom of the stand. This glue is strong. I tilted mine a bit and wanted to adjust it, but it didn't move once it touched the surface! :-D The lamp comes with two brackets and additional adhesive pads. This allows you to place the light in multiple places. At $20, this is an inexpensive and very versatile flashlight. And it looks very neat!
