Almost my first choice

I bought this and three other styles of bobbin holders to see which one would suit me best. They're basic and do the job well, but it wasn't the right choice for me. YMMV. All of the models I tested worked with regular spools (I'm going back to Woolworth's wooden spools of thread! [Young suckers, ask your grandparents]), but they were useless with my thread cones. They just fell out - COIL HOLDERS ... "BOBBINI" (12 pcs.). Spools for storage on spools of thread. Suitable for type L, class A(15) and class M spools and fits most sewing thread spools. The pins will collide with the spool holder before the spool is fully seated on the spool and lies flat. These Handi-Bobs HB18 - an 18 pack, spool magazines with a thread spool were the only ones that had a hole to let a pin or bolt through - other holders block the pins. (IMHO the best all-in-one solution, when it comes to cones) - Handi-Bobs HB18 - 18 pack, saves bobbins with spools of thread (best if you only use bobbins that are mounted on pins or pins - if working with cones they would be my first choice) - a set of friends on spools of 20 to keep your threads on spools that match your thread spools (second best with tapers - falls out easier than "Bobbini") - June Tailor Thread Mate spool and spool storage (works well in spools , but definitely interferes with pins or pins through spools) Handi-Bobs HB18 - Pack of 18, Spool magazines help control loose thread ends off both spool and spool. The spool is held tight enough so that it does not rotate when the line is pulled out. That means, that you can wrap the loose end of the bobbin thread around one of the tabs on the holder, designed for this purpose. The free end of the thread from the spool can be wound onto another bar (there are 3 of them). Helps keep things tidy. For other coil holders, I purchased several feet of ½ inch ID clear plastic tubing at a hardware store. size) and made a cut in one place on each ring. This left me with twisted strips of plastic that could be slipped over the line on the spool to keep it from unraveling easily. 50 rings cost me less than $2! the bottom of your bobbins to get the right size) and made a cut at one point on each ring.
