Review on Lisle 25750 Brake Caliper Compressor with Dual Pistons by Shane Miller

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great time saver good quality

Used to operate the front brakes on a Lexus GX460. This truck uses fixed 4-piston calipers and this tool allows you to push them all back while the caliper is still in place. It's slow and the pistons are retracting - no need to crack the bleeder valve, just remove the master cylinder cap. The only thing to note is that before use you must position the expanders radially on the tool and tighten the large hex collar (nut) or the spacers will not be stiff enough to allow the pistons to slide back. This is NOT in the manual so pay attention. It also seems that the painted grips don't stick that well (the paint peeled off after one use). great tool. A bit pricey at $50 but it's better than prying the rotors open with a screwdriver and fiddling with some clamps etc to get the pistons back. Cost: 4 stars. Durability: I can't rate 4 stars yet, but the view is good Ease of use: 5 stars - enormous time saver.
