Don't expect depth of color

I really wanted to like this rug. But after trying different twists and smoothing out the fibers with a wooden crayon (sideways), I was convinced that most of the corners of this rug would turn whitish and instead produce the deep blues and beiges I was hoping for. The only corner that gets these colors is the stairs at the top. When you put it together with the rest of the stuff, you also realize how cheap and "Home Depot" it looks. I think I've been spoiled by Loloi printed rugs that look like expensive vintage pieces I could never afford. :)
