Was a gift. For me I probably wouldn't buy it because of the price. I'm very glad I got this. I've been using a steam mop on the floor weekly or bi-weekly for about 8 years. (perhaps the steam cleaner is worn out) Supplemented by washing hands and knees if the grout is not washed off. The steam mop left the floor sticky or streaky. I eventually found that the vinegar spray on the floor helped initially. Although the steam cleaner was still not clean enough. I will no longer wet mop the floor. I won't swiff anymore and I'm not crazy about crawling on all fours. Steam mop - marginal results so far (when I first got it - results were better and it was a different tile) I read the reviews after I got the floor cleaner. And for some negative ones, I found the solution to their complaints in the instruction manual. The YouTube videos really helped a lot. You Tube - much easier to follow instructions. And I've never encountered flying mop heads or, for example, streaks on the floor. I haven't had a week yet. The first time I mopped - wow - it took me 20 minutes to charge the battery just to clean the kitchen. And then I had to wait 4 hours to recharge. Kitchen looked better, cleaning water was dirty. The mop heads were dirty. Washed in the sink, cleaned the head. I then followed the instructions and threw it in the washing machine. I added a towel to stop the rattling. Wow the mop heads are clean as they say. And I washed the kitchen a second time and the recovery tank is much cleaner. And the mops looked cleaner. I put them back in the washing machine though as they come out so clean. I remember when I switched from a commercial wet cleaner - it took about 5 or 6 cleanings to get rid of that sticky residue. Now that I've washed the entire house back to a good state of cleanliness (about 1600 square feet), I can wash the entire house (all Italian ceramic tile) in 20 minutes of battery life. Someone said it was a gloss finish - it's more of a matte finish. it cleans to the brim. There is still a bit on the baseboards, I have to touch it up manually. I've ordered other mop heads that are supposed to help with the grout - they haven't arrived yet. Hope this helps remove the grout. I think the comment is about detergents - you should only use those. You need a small amount - the bottle lasts a long time. And since I haven't had much luck with any other floor cleaner, I'll probably stick with the Kärcher cleaner. My husband is very sensitive to loud noises so I always had to wait for him to go outside to vacuum and then mop. is not "mute" although it does not disturb the audio. So I would say it's not very loud. Now all I have to do is mop - it sucks when mopping (except for picking up stuff that fell on the floor) And with a couple of dogs in the house - there is dog hair and the cleaner cleans them well. And you can really tell if I've missed a spot - it's noticeably not that clean. I think it's a good product and considering the price I don't mind. Now I am very happy with the appearance of my floor. And to achieve such a beautiful look is not that much work. - A happy customer.
