When I first opened the box and set the timer to test it, I actually started laughing out loud. The clock is ticking so comically loud you might think it's a comic book bomb. I went to another room and could still hear him. They were *so* loud. These hours would make absolutely no sense for study, concentration, or any professional or consulting environment in which you desire peace and quiet. To be honest they are louder than any watch I have heard in the last 40+ years. It's distracting, stressful, and when the timer rings you get a heart attack, or at least a scare with a very loud buzz (no "bell"). If you're not trying to create something in 60 minutes, skip this timer.
