First of all I would like to preface this review by saying that I was initially hesitant to order it because so many reviews of this product contained pictures of what I believe to be the case. It was an old version of that filter cup that didn't look like the one in the advert photos. I actually received the correct one and provided some good photos of the instrument and its surprisingly nice packaging. Overall, this is a must-have tool with great build quality at a reasonable price. Coming to the filter cup itself. This is now my favorite tool and is great for removing those pesky plastic cartridge filters that are mostly found on Toyota and Lexus vehicles. What makes it so great is that it only fits snugly onto the bottom of the filter housing cover and doesn't get caught on those 3 little plastic tabs. On my previous tools that had notches for gripping lugs, they often slipped off when the filter housing lid was tightly closed, or even damaged/broke the plastic tabs, sometimes resulting in the filter housing having to be replaced. There is no risk of damaging the filter housing with this tool and I have yet to find one that this tool cannot safely remove. Although it's very snug thanks to its near-perfect sensitivity to machining during its manufacture, it never seems to get stuck and, like my other tools, is difficult to remove.
