I hesitated to buy it after seeing the reviews here about machine breakdowns, impregnating furniture etc. I sincerely think that if this humidifier impregnates your walls, carpets, furniture, etc. do not adjust. upright. You must read the manual and set it up as you are told, at least 2 feet off the ground and not pointing directly (within a few feet) at furniture. I keep mine on the nightstand by my bed and it works great. I haven't had any issues with it breaking (although it's only been a few days but I don't think it's going to break anytime soon) or soaking furniture, carpet etc despite running it at high speed all night. I was recommended by my optometrist to get a humidifier to keep in my bedroom and at night. I had LASIK eye surgery 2 months ago and my eyes were so dry my vision was very blurry and foggy. I've slept with it for two nights and I'm already seeing an improvement in my vision (dry eyes) and even my skin. My only regret is that I didn't order sooner! It's the perfect size, actually quite small but can last up to 8-10 hours at high speed. I am ordering a second one to keep in my office at work. Very excited and impressed with this product.
