Must register tool within 21 days

I was happy to try the 1.5" Titanium Sultra After Hours 1.5" Clipless Styling and Curling Head to create beachy waves in my hair to achieve. I managed to get the waves I was looking for but some other expectations were not met. let me explain. 2 year limited warranty, buyers need to go to the Sultra dot com website and this is where it gets difficult. list but I had to look for the product registration which was in small letters at the bottom of the page. On the product registration page, you will be asked to enter your contact information, followed by what ol was purchased, when and where you purchased it, and the unique product identification number found on the hologram sticker on the product. I never found my unique number and was therefore unable to register my product for the 2 year warranty. There are also video demonstrations on the site showing how the tool is used and works. It's kind of sexy but also useful I guess? The information that came with the product didn't contain much useful information - no diagrams or anything useful, thankfully it's not a difficult tool to use. The barrel of the curling iron is smooth and clean hair slides over it. The barrel retains fingerprints and oils so it would be a good idea to wipe it down with a cloth after use - my idea, nothing on the website or the iron brochure says anything about that. (Cloth not included.) The temperature of the iron reaches 390 degrees, with the lowest iron setting I've received being 260 degrees. The temperature settings seemed a bit odd to me - almost random, but maybe there's some science I don't know about? There is a button you press to change the heat setting after you plug in the curling iron. Curling irons don't have a stand or silicone mat to place them on, so be careful when using them to avoid burning countertops that aren't heat-resistant. I wish this curler had one of those things, or at least a stand to keep the heated barrel off the counter. The cord for this curling iron is long (appears to be about 7 feet) and sits on a swiveling, tangle-free base. You need a heat resistant glove when using this iron. The box comes with one of the larger ones as well as a felt mat with pink ribbons to wrap around the iron when not in use. The glove worked great and provided much needed hand protection when I was using the straightener, but the felt mat was a cheap addition to this expensive device and its packaging. This 1.5 inch titanium curling iron works best on shoulder length or longer hair. and medium to fine texture. I have thick, slightly coarse hair and while this product worked to create waves, it didn't work as expected in one go. 21 days from purchase - especially at such a high price. Many buyers will skip this window and try to figure out where to register for warranty coverage AND finding a unique tool number is too difficult! I like that there are no actual instructions in the box for basic use of the curling iron and the accessories that come with it (felt mat and heat resistant glove) are cheap and not at all worth the price. The wand is ok but nothing special. The build quality is satisfactory and you can get hair waves with it, but this can be achieved with many products that cost a lot less and don't require you to play the game to get warranty coverage. I do not recommend this product for these reasons.
