Review on 🟩 StarTech.com 1-Port Flush Mount USB 3.0 Card Adapter with UASP Support - ExpressCard SuperSpeed USB 3.0 Adapter (ECUSB3S11), Green by Buddy Colbert

I upgraded my Lenovo T420i from Windows 7 Professional to Windows 10 a few weeks ago, which turned out to be a pretty good move for the most part. However, I had an ExpressCard with two USB 3 ports from IOGear. Before the update, it worked relatively well, but often had to be reset. Doesn't work anymore after Windows update. IOGear stated that they will not support their card for Windows 10, so I did some research and bought this card from StarTech. I received a StarTech card in the mail this morning. I connected it to my computer, downloaded the firmware and driver updates from the StarTech website, and then installed both the firmware and drivers. Done in less than five minutes, very simple. Computer restarted and everything works! I have a ten-port USB 3 hub that I connect all my peripherals to, so I only have the power cord, audio cable, and USB 3 cable from the hub to deal with when I take my laptop with me. One of the devices hanging from the hub is a USB 3 to HDMI video adapter. With a USB 3 hub connected to this card, any shaking in the video is gone and the picture looks much sharper. When connecting a hub, the main video image is automatically transferred to the 33-inch Samsung monitor and the resolution is also automatically increased. Backing up to a 4TB drive also connected to the same USB 3 hub is now faster than before. This StarTech ExpressCard is way better than the old IOGear card For older laptops that still work well and have an unused ExpressCard slot but no onboard USB 3 port, I highly recommend buying this card. very smooth and comprehensive update.
