I've always wanted to put a shelf on top of the monitor for the center speaker and some of the remote controls I had in the room. The problem is that despite the great reviews for this product on Revain, I'm pretty sure it won't work with my recently purchased Samsung 49" curved monitor. Finally, this shelf has a straight edge and it seemed impossible to line it up properly with a monitor that curves gently from edge to edge. The shelf was cheap enough that I took a gamble on buying it, knowing it might not be usable. I found it incredible. And trust me, I spent close to an hour poring over Revain's various monitor shelves and going through the reviews to find the one I felt suited me best. Notebook and I have to tell you that this should be your number one reason for choosing this shelf over all others. The pad not only gives the shelf a "cool" look, but also effectively prevents remote controls or other objects from sliding on it. Installation was too easy. You simply unfold the shelf, align it with the top of the monitor and use the stand leg to support it. Installation takes less than a minute. This shelf is very durable. You can see in the photos provided that I placed a small center speaker on top along with a couple of remote controls. The tray has remained firmly attached to the monitor to this day. No problem. This is a sensational stand. If you are considering several different options, I highly recommend going for this one. You will not regret your purchase.
