Confused about what this material is for

Well I have to admit right away that I'm not a particularly skilled worker. However, as a homeowner I know how to use a toolbox and FYI I even have a Nikita drill but this thing confused me and unfortunately eventually won. My fault (and I'll admit it was my fault, but the reason I'm writing this is to try to discourage others from creating the same and because I think their product description could perhaps be a bit clearer) , was that I bought this tape to help me siliconize the rim of my tub. Unfortunately, when it arrived I found that it wasn't quite right for the job, it was thick and tough and obviously not easy to work with. But it was HERE and I wanted to finish it off so I used it as border tape. Change of plan: After about an hour, and when I try to remove the tape, it basically soaks up all the silicone that I've been so gently smearing with it into the border between the bathroom and the tile. Okay, like I said, my fault, but FYI THIS IS NOT A COMMAND VOLUME in the sense that you intend to use it to help you mint something. I suspect it was meant to replace the sealant(?). To be honest, I'm still not sure how this is supposed to work exactly. Still I gave them two stars because maybe it actually works instead of sealing but for my purposes it was a disaster.

Pros
  • EASY TO INSTALL - Size: 1.5 x 126 (inches) / 3.8cm x 3.2m, according to the actual needs of free tailoring, free edge, easy to use and flexible . No need to use other complex tools, self-adhesive sealing tape attached to the surface of the area, repeatedly pressing several times can peel off. (Caution: heat with a hair dryer for better stickiness)
Cons
  • There are other interesting possibilities.
