I used this, when it came for my shower I put it down the drain and twisted several times, pulled it out and did the same thing several times. Turns out there was still a blockage, annoyed I called a plumber, didn't check again thinking the person was for nothing, didn't use any of the plumbing in that bathroom for a few days. The plumber came, let the water run for a while without stopping? the? blocking gone? I paid $44. for his services call him to tell me i don't need him! I said all this to tell anyone using this auger before calling a plumber if you can wait a few days without using the drain, after using it you may not have a problem anymore .
