Review on 🎧 Pump up the Jams Anywhere with Panasonic SL-MP35 Portable MP3/CD Player by John Miranda

Something that made me happy

I bought this for $99 about 2 years ago. There are many things I like about this CD and a few things I don't like. Strengths: 1. Good battery life. My previous Sony CD player lasted 7 hours on two AA batteries. The battery of the SL-MP35 is quite generous. On alkaline (energizer) it can work for 25 to 35 hours. 2. It's not as hard as it may seem. You can take it with you if you have huge bags. It has excellent shock protection. I can remember dropping it six times, but it never missed a beat. Also, the eject button doesn't click on its own like I've found with Samsung drives. 3. Max. The volume of this device reaches 25 units. The headphones that come with it are better than the headphones that came with the popular iPod. They have a good clean bass sound, although they're not intended for listeners who like to be immersed in music. I use Phillips headphones and the increase in volume is quite significant. 4. The hold function is a favorite, especially when you need to go for a walk or just in general. The device makes some noise, but most devices do. It never gets hot, and at home I prefer to plug it into an outlet. It is very funny. 5. Plays MP3/Audio CDs. I've noticed the volume of audio discs is lower than that of MP3 discs. Sounds strange considering the bitrate difference, but it's true. I recommend all owners/prospective buyers to keep this feature in mind. I understand that many of us like to buy and listen to music, but that can be a bit of a downside. However, this also means that a 150-track disc will sound better than a 15-track audio disc. What I don't like about this MP3 player is how slow it is. I've seen other MP3 players and while they're faster compared to them I think they're slower. It takes about 15 seconds to initialize the MP3 disc. Audio CDs, on the other hand, are slightly faster. The volume could have been louder, but it's too much. There was an accompanying cassette that allowed music to be played in cars without MP3 player/CD support. It's decent but I've never used it because I love my music and have a front loading MP3 player installed. Anyway, I recommend this to people unsure if they want an MP3 drive. I've seen an iPod and for some reason I don't like the idea of a little box containing all my songs. I'd rather change discs, burn, repair. Anyway, that's me. I hope my review was helpful to you. Hooray.
