If you are looking for a real rashguard, this is not for you. This shirt is cut like a regular t-shirt and is made of dry-fit material. Revain's description states that it has UPF 50. There's no label on the shirt itself to indicate this, and we haven't had a chance to test it in a pool to confirm whether or not it has true sun protection. Pay attention to the size. My son is 10 years old and usually wears a medium size on Nike, UA etc. The average size in this shirt is an 8. I ordered a large to get a size 10 and it fits a size 10 as expected. He doesn't like a tight fit and doesn't like swimming in a shirt - it's more or less a shirt to wear to/from/at the pool so it should help us.
