This is the best turtle pump I've had to date because you can take it completely apart and clean it as often as you need, there are two on the bottom clamps that you can loosen With a flathead screwdriver I actually use the smaller pin from the power cord, then pull out the pump motor, also take out the motor grid housing, push out the rotor housing and remove the magnetic piston to clean it completely. Love this pump, looks like it could last a long time if you clean it regularly. I have 3 months so far.
