Look for something different. Not worth the money

Absolutely terrible filter, you have turtles. It is tiny and cannot handle 2 inches of water in a 20 gallon aquarium. Don't waste money. The filter has been working for several weeks and now it cannot clean the tank. I've cleaned it thoroughly and it's still terrible.

Simply put - DO NOT BUY THIS.

I don't even want to give one star. Honestly, I should have read the reviews before buying. It broke on the first day, hardly lost any water and is DEFINITELY suitable for NOTHING other than a small aquarium with a fish or two. Worst purchase I've ever made.

Best turtle pump I've ever had

This is the best turtle pump I've had to date because you can take it completely apart and clean it as often as you need, there are two on the bottom clamps that you can loosen With a flathead screwdriver I actually use the smaller pin from the power cord, then pull out the pump motor, also take out the motor grid housing, push out the rotor housing and remove the magnetic piston to clean it completely. Love this pump, looks like it could last a long time if you clean it regularly. I have 3…

Update 2016: After buying 3 in 3 years, 1 still working, 1 died within 1 year, the newest one is so noisy returning.

April 25, 2016 - This is the 3rd purchase in 3 years. I had 50/50 success with the first two. I thought it was a tie breaker. I hoped for the best, but it didn't happen. Bought the first one 3 years ago and liked it so much that I bought a second one for a different pool a few months later. After buying the second, the first stopped working. Completely dead. I contacted ST International and they offered to fix the filter. Sent in, repaired (not replaced) and returned. Again it stopped working…
