Update 2016: After buying 3 in 3 years, 1 still working, 1 died within 1 year, the newest one is so noisy returning.

April 25, 2016 - This is the 3rd purchase in 3 years. I had 50/50 success with the first two. I thought it was a tie breaker. I hoped for the best, but it didn't happen. Bought the first one 3 years ago and liked it so much that I bought a second one for a different pool a few months later. After buying the second, the first stopped working. Completely dead. I contacted ST International and they offered to fix the filter. Sent in, repaired (not replaced) and returned. Again it stopped working after about 3 months. This time, ST International did not respond to the dead filter. I ended up replacing it with Whisper. Oddly, the second one I bought still runs like a champ - quiet, keeps my 10 gallon tank clean. Ooooh when I needed another small tank/low water filter I decided to try another ST International. Got it, hooked up on Friday and WE CANNOT GET THE NOISE. It's a rattle/vibration that I can't fix. I'm sure the tank's occupant won't survive either. I'm sending it back and replacing it with another Whisper, which by the way is also 1/3 cheaper. So after buying 3 of these within 3 years I only had a 33% success rate. Not acceptable, especially for the money spent. In theory this is a great product but the quality is clearly not consistent. I do not recommend. I liked this product. I bought my first one in January, liked it so much I bought a second one in July. Now. The January buy just stopped. dead in the water So while I'm pondering how to keep my tank vented and wondering when the second one will stop working. . .I am currently reviewing Revain and am attempting to contact ST International directly to resolve the issue and get a replacement. I will post more as this issue develops. So at the moment I'm not satisfied with the camper. I should update and improve my recommendation. Yes, my filter no longer works. Ciara from the company called me back immediately after the weekend and advised me to send the product in for repair. ST International repaired the filter and shipped it back to me within a week. It's been working great for the past week. I highly recommend this product and this company. :)
