Works on Ender 5 Plus!

yes it works on Ender 5 plus! Yes, it also has a preinstalled bootloader. In this case, you don't need an Arduino to flash the Creality firmware onto it. This one costs more but is available much quicker as Creality is out of stock. There are a few good YouTube videos on how to make a silent 2.2 board and update the firmware. Summary: 1. Install the board. 2. Install Creality Slicer on your computer. Ender 5 plus is not listed, just select Ender 5, it doesn't matter, only for firmware update. 3. Turn on the printer (right now it just displays Creality and does nothing else) and connect it to the computer via USB. 4. Locate the COM port that your printer is connected to. 5. Use the machine settings in Creality Slicer to select the COM port and data transfer rate. Rate (115200) 6. Search the Internet for the latest firmware, the link of which can be found in the video on YouTube or on Facebook. CREALITY SITE DOES NOT HAVE THE LATEST WTF FIRMWARE! You need hex file version 1.70.1bl, this is the latest version with bl touch fixes. Select "Install Custom Firmware" and select the downloaded hex file. The blue LED on the board you just installed should blink rapidly. When it's done, you'll get the message "Firmware 1.70.1bl installed" or whatever your filename is. 7. Disable and reboot, it should boot normally now. However, it will be in Chinese, so go to the language option and switch to English and you're done. Now your printer works much quieter! I also installed X and Y dampeners to eliminate any residual vibration noise. You don't have to do any of this with a $550 printer, but are we here?

Pros
  • also understandable for the old ones
Cons
  • infinitely sluggish
