It doesn't matter if you have a new starter! My old one was slow and drained my battery, this one is working very well so far. Great value for money. The only thing I'm afraid of is how many years I'll get out of this. Installation: I gave it three stars, not because of the product, it's not their fault! Honda/Acura placed the starter motor in a tight space, requiring the intake manifold and other surrounding parts to be disassembled. I've replaced starters on other cars where you just unscrew the electric wire and two screws and you're done! Allow at least 90 minutes if you know how to replace a device. I also recommend purchasing an intake manifold gasket and a throttle body gasket.
