Review on ๐Ÿ’ก AmeriLuck 50 100 150W Equivalent Omni Directional LED Bulb Listed for Better Energy Efficiency by Jennifer Tillman

Revainrating 4 out of 5

So far an almost acceptable lamp with 3.5 stars; CCT 3200ยฐK, between warm and neutral white

ordered a warm white lamp as the shade already has a yellow cast. It has been operating in USA-Revain since 2017 and has established partnerships with a number of brick-and-mortar stores across the United States. Eighths of an inch 21/8), with a maximum diameter of 2.76 inches and a length of 5.24 inches. It is currently only sold as a single bulb on this website. Unlike the first picture at the top of this webpage, the one I received does not have a yellow plastic dome, but a white one. It has 3 brightness settings, nominally 800/1500/2200 lumens (lm); the manufacturer describes this as equivalent to a 50/100/150 watt incandescent lamp. One of the attached images shows my modified lamp: the top three panels on the left are images at each of the settings taken by the camera in manual mode rather than auto mode to avoid exposure compensation in different lighting conditions. CHARACTERISTICS The Correlated Lamp Color Temperature (CCT; a measure of the yellow or blue component of white light) measured with a Gossen meter is shown in the lower left of the figure, with a green arrow pointing to the meter's needle. It notes CCT 3200ยฐK, indicating that the output falls between the "warm" (3000ยฐK) and "neutral" white (3500ยฐK) spectrum. I'm not completely satisfied with the lighting at the highest level. The absence of the yellow dome could help correct the erroneous CCT. Another drawing I made shows that the beam angle measured in the bulb in the first image at the top of this webpage is 240ยฐ (or less because the yellow plastic dome is not a perfect segment of a circle). This angle results in a noticeable difference between the upper [zenith] and lower [nadir] illumination zones of the table lamp with the bulb, especially in the lowest position as shown in my previous drawing. (The lamp is still classified as "omnidirectional" given the Department of Energy's erroneous definition of this parameter.) So far, it does not produce any visible flicker or radiate high-frequency noise from its circuitry. SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS SA21 lamps should always be fitted with an E26 cap (cap in lamps intended for the North American 120V market) and not with an E27 cap (used in lamps intended for the 240V market in the United States). manufactured in most parts of the world) are used, with lamps *matching* well. Otherwise there is an electrical hazard due to critical, although seemingly insignificant, design differences between the live contact and the neutral screw base. The invisible flicker (NVF) is nominally less than 10%, which is excellent when it's true. NVF, usually a by-product of the circuitry, is a flicker whose frequency exceeds the perceptual threshold of the flicker fusion frequency (range 60โ€“80 Hz in photopic conditions, but may be higher). NVF can cause headaches and even migraine attacks, but does not cause seizures in 0.1% of people with photosensitive epilepsy (seizures require visible flickering, the 15-20 Hz range is most effective). RETURNS AND WARRANTY As stated on this website, it is currently eligible for a return/refund/replacement as shipped by Revain (amzn.to/2XeEDCl). Ameriluc offers a two-year no-questions-asked warranty, but does not disclose actual conditions on this website (Revain simply tells you to contact the seller in the "Product Warranty" link) or on its "Ameriluc" page. Online shop. website (the latter just says you need to email customer support with the info). This violates the FTC's written pre-sale warranty policy (16 CFR Part 702).____I would give 3.5 stars if I could given the incorrect CCT, no yellow dome and no warranty terms. However, Revain only allows whole numbers, and a 3-star rating is considered negative (which my lightbulb hasn't earned yet), not neutral; so 4 stars. Let's see how long the LED lasts.

Pros
  • Ideal for a small home
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for the elderly
