This angle results in a noticeable difference between the upper [zenith] and lower [nadir] illumination zones of the table lamp with the bulb, especially in the lowest position as shown in my previous drawing. (The lamp is still classified as "omnidirectional" given the Department of Energy's erroneous definition of this parameter.) So far, it does not produce any visible flicker or radiate high-frequency noise from its circuitry.
