Review on ATP TF 49 Automatic Transmission Filter by Andres Imaging

This kit is hard to find in the UK and shipping from the US was very quick. The price was very good, around £17 including postage. The filter is easy to install after draining the sump and includes a gasket that sits between the filter and the gearbox. So far, so good. The pan gasket is a rubber compound - the old one was a cork gasket - and it fitted well and all the bolts were torqued to ensure a proper and even seal. The reason for the 3 stars was that the oil pan gasket was leaking throughout the day and the engine would not start at that point so there was no hot oil or heat. I was very disappointed. Luckily I have a cork gasket from Rimmer Bros, Lincoln that I need to fit now. I will also have to buy more ATF as most of it will be lost when I drain it again. I will make sure to use a silicone seal on the cork next time to prevent further leaks!
