Perfect for small dogs!
I wanted a safety gate for our stairs that would also go well with our home decor and this one fits right in. We currently use it to keep our three little puppies from running up and down stairs. I was a bit worried when some reviewers mentioned that it isn't very strong. I would not recommend these gates for large dogs or if small ones are constantly attached. These are traditional "old school" security gates that use tension. Using the wrong notch and using too much tension can cause the tree to snap. But other than that, I don't understand why it doesn't last. I am very happy with this purchase and will buy another one for our hallway.
