Great Value - Door and Stair Gates

These gates are always a bit of a nuisance because they aren't that strong and require little effort to install and remove. However, this comes at a price for the low price and portability. Once installed they are very durable and look better than traditional portable gates. It's also thin, which makes it easy to hide when we're not using it. This gate is perfect for our needs of keeping our rabbit in the kitchen and our dog inside when we want to leave the front door open.

Pros
  • Easy to Use
Cons
  • Expensive

A reluctant but necessary thumbs all the way down.

I love leaving good reviews, I really do. Unfortunately I can not for these goals. The mechanism and connecting timber that attaches the width of the gate broke in just a few uses. I am very careful not to exert or use unnecessary pressure or rudeness, I always want things to remain in excellent condition so that I can rely on them for a long time. I have successfully maintained and owned things for years. So when I say this thing broke after a few uses, I'm pretty sure it wasn't because of how

Sweet and strong! for safety

I used the same gate with my eldest son a few years ago but it wasn't as cute as this one. Gray wood is combined with plastic so that it doesn't look like an ugly child's gate. The quality is the same as what I bought many years ago and it was pretty good. The gate is strong and holds up well; You can simply overstep without having to undo each time. The only thing I complain about is the piece of metal that locks the gate in place. It's a little tricky to unzip if you really want to take the…

Perfect for small dogs!

I wanted a safety gate for our stairs that would also go well with our home decor and this one fits right in. We currently use it to keep our three little puppies from running up and down stairs. I was a bit worried when some reviewers mentioned that it isn't very strong. I would not recommend these gates for large dogs or if small ones are constantly attached. These are traditional "old school" security gates that use tension. Using the wrong notch and using too much tension can cause the tree

looks good, solid when installed properly but a bit flimsy.

The fence looks great and goes really well with my restoration hardware decoration. But I see if you're not careful you could break your arms. (Which only happens if you overtighten between walls.) This won't work if you have baseboards on the floor in your room that have rubber plugs tight at the bottom but too loose at the top. This is obviously because the baseboards protrude farther than the walls. However, it fits securely and snugly in the doorway. Maybe I'll just add rubber washers under

Pros
  • Great overall performance
Cons
  • Lots of stuff

Simple and eye-catching baby gate

I was hesitant based on the reviews that they are flimsy and cheap but I am happy with this gate. I was afraid to buy baby gates because they look so tasteless. They look very nice and match the style of our house. The true color of the tree in the closeup photo. For some reason it looks dimmer from a distance than it actually is. I liked them because they are easy to raise and lower. I wanted to be able to hide them so the house looks nice when we have company in the house. evenings They are…

Doesn't work - no lock feature. Not broken, just junk.

I bought this baby gate for a new puppy to want to delineate certain areas of the home so he doesn't get overexcited (or lose him under furniture). These gates don't work at all. It doesn't look broken, it works as advertised - not a perfect design even if it worked - but the locking mechanisms don't create any pressure that actually 'locks' the sides of the gate in the doors. Walls in which to enclose them. As you can see in the photo I just moved it to the door and I use the crate and…
