Manufacturing and Quality Control Product Issue Solved

Update: March 7th, 2018 Emerge took active action after reading my initial review and took action to resolve the band issue I was having with the fitness kit rings that I have received. The message I received from Emerge reassured me that the issue was with quality control and that the manufacturer was committed to taking better steps to ensure the quality of the straps before packaging them in the future. Emerge also replaced the straps before I started returning the product. I really like that they took action even before I initiated the return. I think that and how they dealt with the problem is really good customer service and a seller I would definitely buy from again. On first use the product feels very solid and the buckles snap in well. It comes with 15ft strap which is definitely longer than I need but it can be easily wrapped and secured with the attached velcro straps. The replacement straps I received seem to be well made and I am not worried about using them. I think the wooden rings themselves are outstanding. I have another pair of wooden rings that are slightly larger, but the ones I got from Emerge seem better so far. I'm still not a big fan of the buckles but they seem to work pretty well so no complaints about the buckles themselves. I hope they wear well. If you frequently need to adjust the length of the strap depending on your movement or exercise, adjusting the strap can be a bit of a hassle. While adjusting the length is fairly quick, adjusting both sets of ring straps so the rings align and then tying off the excess strap takes a little more time. You can cut down on the time needed by pre-marking the attachment points on each strap and simply letting the extra length of strap dangle as you perform your routine. Alternatively, there are other no-buckle options that use carabiners in combination with straps with well-marked and sewn attachment points, but the ones I've experienced seem to be shorter in overall length. First observations: ===== . Many times based on reviewer rating history, especially if they rate everything reviewed 5 stars - oh my). When first installed, the rings looked pretty good. Unfortunately, upon closer inspection, I found that at least one of the straps was assembled from two separate smaller pieces sewn together (see photos accompanying this review). I'm not sure if this was intentional or not and where in the whole production process it might have happened. It is possible that the belt was perceived in this form by the manufacturer. If so, then I would consider it a quality control issue (unless the manufacturer can confirm that two separate pieces can be sewn together and still remain as strong as a single piece of belt - I don't think so). Therefore, I do not leave the goods and do not send them back. I can try replacing it and see if I get lucky on the second try, or I can just look elsewhere. All in all the rings and straps seem pretty solid and if what I've described doesn't bother you then go for it. In my particular case, this is most likely not an issue since I'm a fairly small girl, but you big boys with serious weight might want to take a close look at your straps. The buckles were black plated but appear to have been made from what I call pot metal. Again, this probably isn't a problem for someone my short like me, but for the tall ones there is something to consider. I would have liked the buckles to be a bit more industrial, but other than that they seem fine.
