This air intake is pretty smooth. I'm not very mechanical, but it was really easy to install using the instructions that came with it. All I wanted from him was an increase in engine noise and he delivered. You can hear the low growl of the engine after 2000 rpm and it's amazing. When you're around 1500-2500 rpm and you turn it on there's a cool intake whistle that makes me think of a turbo when I hear it. Even though there can be an increase in performance, as I said, I can't tell the difference just by the "trouser seat" feeling. I've had it for about a month now and I still freak out when I drive it just to hear the whistle followed by the growl of the little Camry engine in the tC.
