The edge of the lid is folded over to increase rigidity as the lid does not have the traditional roll for rigidity. Unfortunately, these protrusions extend to the protrusion that goes into the case and touch the motherboard, preventing them from being installed. This may not be an issue for all motherboards. Also, they are only about 60-70% thicker than my original Inwin motherboard and the perforated holes have some warping. If they had made them out of thicker metal, the lip might not have been necessary at all. I would prefer a matte black or satin finish to a gloss black. All in all I cannot recommend them. There are GELID slot covers. They are almost identical but their edge ends up about half an inch higher to allow more boards to be cleaned. They also include filters. They are simply not available at the moment.
