Review on πŸ’§ Impressive iSpring WSP50ARB: Reusable Spin Down Sediment Water Filter with Auto Flushing Module, Touch-Screen, and Brass Top – Clear Housing, 50 Micron by Josh Heelis

Good idea but needs a lot of improvement

I bought this to remove scale from the well before the softener and auto flush. It was attractive because I didn't know how much dirt I was going to be dealing with. Come to learn, not much. The packaging was great and well thought out. I noticed right away that it was huge, weighing a ton due to the large brass plate. It's too heavy to connect to a 1 inch PVC pipe and leave it alone, so they give you a metal holder to solve the weight problem. I'll just go over the pros and cons. Advantages: Automatic flushing. Cons: Too heavy, brass plate should be PVC. Leaks like crazy because of the 1 inch brass fitting. You need to put in a whole roll of Teflon. The LCD screen is too dark and you can hardly see the icons below. The bracket cuts into the fitting like a knife. The scraper is not easy to use because the LCD screen is in the way. The instructions are also in small print and can be confusing. Can't set the hour, only the day, so who knows when it will turn off? Not worth the extra $200 compared to the manual flush model. I have ordered a hand washer and when it arrives I will return it. . I want them to improve this model significantly before reviewing the order. Just my 2 cents.
