I love this stereo! I wanted something with a larger screen so I didn't have to wear bifocals to drive and read the GPS. This fully meets the requirements! I love Apple CarPlay and am amazed that it works wirelessly. I didn't use many other functions apart from the volume control. There are so many options, I need a knowledgeable person to help me because I don't know what I'm doing in this department. I was a little unsure about buying a brand I had never heard of, but I contacted the company for advice and Watson was quick to email and answer all of my questions. He sent me a video to help me with the installation and setup and also helped me order the correct suspension for my 2019 Subaru Forester. I took it to the installer and they were a bit hesitant at first but they had no problem installing it. Once I found the steering wheel control settings, I was able to program most of my buttons. Some of it is subjective, and I'm trying to get what I want one way or another. Because they're programmable, you're not tied to what the buttons did to the OEM head unit, and you can actually program each button for two functions - a short press is one function and a long press can be another function. Judging by the photos, this stereo covers the center vents in my Forester a bit. Air flows around the radio, but airflow is reduced. It doesn't bother me, but something to keep in mind since this screen is so big. I can't say enough about customer service. He was so friendly and helpful and would do anything to help. I had a couple of times when ZLink wouldn't start. I turned the car off and restarted it and everything was fine. I think when my phone is in range of my wifi in my house it gets confused when I turn on the car, but that wasn't the problem. You must enable Wi-Fi on your phone for ZLink to work wirelessly. It doesn't use external Wi-Fi, but I noticed that I couldn't get Apple CarPlay to work if I wasn't home and disabled Wi-Fi. Definitely buy this stereo. You will love it, especially if you have an Apple device. I cannot comment on this "other" platform. LAUGH OUT LOUD! What can I say, I'm an Apple snob. 🤓 I hope this was helpful.
