I REALLY wanted to like these headphones.

Let me explain. I'm a Corsair fan. I have loved almost everything they have ever created. I have a K95 keyboard, 2 of their mice (Scimitar and something else, can't remember), half a dozen RAM sticks, Commander Pro, LL120 fans, the list goes on and on. But with this product they just missed the mark. To be clear, I'll compare it to my previous headphones, the Corsair Void Pro: I liked the set so much that I bought two more pairs as gifts for other people. It's a simple design, light enough to be comfortable to wear, easy to use and a solid connection, and powerful enough to make you deaf if you're not careful. Of course, this probably isn't the best choice for audiophiles, although I've never had a single complaint about the cleanliness of the microphone or headset. Neither is a virtuoso. It's a chunky piece of durable construction wrapped in a luxurious frame. It's four times the price of the Void Pro and yet I went back to the old headset and have never looked back. The first absolute failure for me was that I couldn't wear them for more than an hour without bruising. the top of my head with the weight of things. The ears are poorly supported and weigh almost twice as much as the Void Pro. Every ounce of pressure is right in the middle of the headband, and after playing around with it for a day to try and find a comfortable way to wear it, I discontinued it in favor of my old headset to the side. The earcups themselves are too small and don't have enough angle adjustment to fit a larger head. The Up To Mute feature I loved so much in void pro. Instead, you have a button at the base that the arrow connects to. Not bad, but even when muted, the arrow is right in your peripheral vision and has an intense RGB light to indicate a muted state, which is annoying at first and then quickly becomes an annoyance once you realize it You cannot control the brightness or color of the ring of light permanently attached to your head. Microphone sound from a virtuoso headset instead of the previously manually selected options. Oh, and did I mention it doesn't have a POWER BUTTON?! You should probably just unplug the cable and switch to wired mode to turn it off. I kept finding that apps would find the connected charging headset and prioritize the Virtuoso, especially mangled games, music and OBS. After a week of trying to force myself to love these things, today I just have to give them back. It's a real shame because it's a beautiful headset and I had such high expectations. Luckily, Amazon's return policy means I won't lose $200 on a conversational headset I can't use.
