Review on 🚲 BV Bike Bag Bicycle Panniers with Adjustable Hooks, Easy Carrying Handle, Enhanced Reflective Trim and Spacious Pockets by Jesus Olsen

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Arrange a lightning repair. I know.

I did a few "test rides" with these bags on my 26 inch mountain bike (now a road cruiser). Although I have a good working relationship with the tape measure, they are smaller than I thought. That turned out to be ok, because I could really load things up with a rucksack, front basket and pannier rack if I wanted to. If size is critical to you, measure the load capacity. The bag's size and curved front made it easier to pedal. Until now I didn't understand how others put their straps in the spokes. I have yet to use the tire sidebands. They don't fit well on my bike. (useless) but whatever, I tied them aside. I believe I can build my own to provide real support if needed. Also, four (4) straps attach the basket (saddlebags) to the rear rack {Ventura Universal Rack - Very Bad Visibility Soon} very quickly and quickly detach for transport to the store. Again, I don't understand how people said they were slowly being removed. If I happen to use all four, which wasn't necessary, it takes less than 30 seconds to cancel them. Note that I didn't use side tire straps for "I don't know what". I like these baskets, okay BUT. I gave them 3 stars because these flashes are not worth a damn. The cheap zippers were a bad idea (insulting) and let me know I won't be buying these bags again. The village idiot sees they're going to fail, and then I just put on some ties. but hey nobody needs it. This is my previous rating. In case of problems/changes. I will update this review. **UPDATE 03/16/16 The zippers are really useless and appear to be poorly connected or have no "stops" to prevent the push from coming out at the end. The zippers came apart without being overused or overused. I fixed the zipper and sewed a stopper about an inch or so from the ends of all the zippers. I assume they know the zippers are either of poor quality or poorly secured. That is not commendable. definitely****updated 3/25/2017 The "stops" I sewed into the end of the (cheap) zippers seem to have done the trick. However, I am very careful not to damage (cheap) zippers by stress when opening them. At the moment I have no problems with panniers (saddle bags) at all and use them almost every time I leave the house. I still don't think it makes sense to use a "lace system" on the inside of bags next to the bike. Four (4) top straps on the C-pillar keep everything in place even under load. At this average usage rate, bags can last longer than me.

Pros
  • Lots of positive vibes
Cons
  • Some difficulties
