I first had self-cleaning bedding many years ago. Then he had a plastic rake and it was wonderful. A few years later they "improved" their model and added a metal rake. All the poo sticks to the metal rake and I spend an inordinate amount of time combing the rake. Pooh. So I threw away my expensive litter box and started digging up the garbage every day again. Tired of daily scooping, I started searching for the best brand. and I came across this box. I was a little hesitant about the metal rake but decided to give it a try. The litter box is essentially a cardboard box standing on the floor on which the litter box body and rake sit. The included filler is a beautiful crystal filler that's cool until the cat takes it out and you step on it, but that's okay. I still catch myself combing through a metal rake 😡 with a plastic fork. I have a cat and I have to religiously change the litter every weekend or the urine will soak the litter on the floor. Sheep. I generally don't need to tend my litter box, but once or twice a week is fine. Changing the tray is dirty. Almost as terrifying as picking at a regular box every day. I'm really ambivalent. I could leave it. save me time Not worth the money I spend on trash cans a month.
